Eau Claire County Humane Association Assists with Monroe County Cat Hoarding Case; 46 Cats Rescued

Eau Claire and Monroe County Human Society Staff rescuing 46 cats from Monroe County Home

The Eau Claire County Humane Association assisted with a hoarding case out of Monroe County yesterday. In total, there were 46 cats living in one residence. The Eau Claire County Humane Association had the capacity to take in 11 of the cats.  The rest of the felines in the rescue were transferred to other neighboring shelters. They are settling in and will be seen by one of the local veterinarian partners this week. Once they are deemed healthy, they will be up for adoption and ready to find their Fur-ever homes.

The average cost to care for a cat is $15 per day. If all of these kitties stay for a full week, that is $1,155! If you love all cats like we do, donate to their care and put “transfer kitties” in the notes: https://www.eccha.org/donate/donate.phtml
