After 97 years Eileen Casper went home to the place reserved for her in heaven. She passed from this earth on October, 2021.

Eileen was born on September 14, 1924 in Taylor, to John and Effie Clipper. She attended grade school in Curran Valley, a country school, until they moved to Taylor in the 5th grade.

After graduating from Taylor High School, she spent a brief time working in Milwaukee with her best friend. After determining big city life was not for her, she returned to Taylor, where she lived for the rest of her life.

Eileen married Morris Casper on May 1, 1944. They moved to Pinehurst, NC, where Morris was a paratrooper in the 13th Airborne division. When he was sent overseas, she returned to Taylor, where she worked as a dental assistant to Dr. Smith, and managed the Red and White variety store until it burned down.

Eileen and Morris were blessed with three children: Jeffery(Kay), Jay(Judy), and Maureen Halsey; two grandsons-Todd and Matt; two step grandchildren-Carl/Jody Stamm, and Megan/David Reetz, five great step grandchildren-Carly Jo, Kacie and Ryan Stamm, and Cohen and Ari Reetz; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She enjoyed cooking and baking for ALL of them right up until the time she moved to the Grandview Care Center in Blair in September 2019.

Taylor Lutheran Church was at the center of her life. Some of her activities there were: Sunday School superintendent, director of junior choir and vacation bible school, president of ladies aid, VP of the Mondovi conference and chairwoman of the Dawn Circle bible study group. She also enjoyed being chaplain of the Hanson/Lien auxiliary where she led many services for the members. She was a member for 71 years.

Eileen has one remaining sister, Elayne Hanson, who has been her steady support for 92 years.

The family would like to give a very special thank you to the caregiving staff at the Grandview Care Center in Blair. From the day she entered to the day she left, Eileen was treated as family, with loving care, respect, and kindness
