Elaine Elizabeth Buttke-Bowman

Elaine Elizabeth Buttke-Bowman, 71, passed away on September 6, 2024, from heart issues. 
She was born to Ernest and Dorothy Buttke in Black River Falls, Wisconsin on September 11,
1952.
She and her husband owned and operated the Full Moon Saloon in Alma Center, Wisconsin for
17 years.
Elaine was very well-liked, generous, and fun to be around. She loved gardening, cooking, and
canning, and her family will always remember her famous strawberry jam.
Elaine is survived by her brothers; Wayne (Cathy) Buttke of Sophia, North Carolina, Harold
Buttke of Statesville, North Carolina, Ray Buttke, of Merrillan, Wisconsin, David (Martha) Buttke
of Archdale, North Carolina, foster brother Michael Greengrass of Merrillan, Wisconsin and
Michaels children: Brianna Hernandez, Mayzee Hernandez, Haley Hernandez and Dakota
Hernandez with which Elaine had a very close relationship with, sister; Linda (Gary) Metcalf of
Bloomington, Indiana. nieces:  Kim (Drew) Carmody of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, Karen
Jewell of Statesville, North Carolina, Allison (Aaron) Buttke-Townley of Randleman, North
Carolina, Anna (Allen) Radford of Pleasant Garden, North Carolina, and Erica (Ryan) Jones
from Bloomington, Indiana; nephews: Nathan Buttke of Sophia, North Carolina and Otto Buttke
of Sophia, North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jeffrey Bowman, her parents Ernest and Dorothy
Buttke, brother Arlin Buttke, sister-in-law Marlene Buttke, and nephew Brad Buttke.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on October 12, 2024, at Grace Lutheran Church in
Alma Center, Wisconsin with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
After the service, a lunch will be served in the Fellowship Hall at the church.
Interment will be set at a later date at East Lawn Cemetery in Alma Center, Wisconsin.
