Governor Tony Evers says the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection is investing 30-million dollars in the state’s two largest hunger relief organizations. The federal funding for the Hunger Task Force and Feeding Wisconsin will be used to ensure residents in rural communities, urban centers and Tribal nations receive much needed food. Evers said in a statement, “In a state that grows some of the finest products in the world, no kid or family should go hungry.” Twenty-five million was invested in the Food Security Initiative in 2020.
