Governor Tony Evers says around 93-hundred small businesses in Wisconsin will share 46-million dollars in federal COVID relief funding. The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation is awarding them each five-thousand-dollar grants. Evers said in a statement, “our small businesses have had to innovate to stay afloat this past year and that’s why it’s critically important we make sure they have the resources to bounce back from this pandemic.” The 46 million will be distributed to impacted businesses that applied for relief for the “We’re All in” phase 2 program last years but for which additional funds were not available. The Department of Revenue says they’ll begin processing the latest grants as quickly as possible.
