Fatal Car Crash in Dunn County Stems From Pickup Changing Lanes to Pass Another Car

On February 25, 2024, at approximately 12:49 pm, a 2-vehicle crash occurred on Highway 25 near
Northline Road in Dunn County. The crash involved 1 fatality and 1 injury.
Preliminary investigation shows a pickup truck driven by a 56 Year Old Female From Chetek, was traveling southbound pulled into the northbound lanes to pass a vehicle and drove head-on into a passenger car traveling northbound. The driver of
the passenger car, a 57 Year Old Male From Boyceville, was fatally injured as a result of the crash. The driver of the pickup truck received minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
The Wisconsin State Patrol is conducting the crash investigation and crash reconstruction.
