A Medford man is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Monroe County yesterday morning. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office reports that a Chevy Malibu driven by 20-year-old Kyle Petrick of Medford was travelling Westbound on Highway 21 in the Town of LaGrange when he crossed the centerline. Petrick crashed head-on with a semi-truck travelling Eastbound driven by 52-year-old Richard Murphy of Ontario. Murphy also had a juvenile in the semi-truck with him. Petrick was pronounced dead at the scene, and the juvenile in the truck received minor non-life threatening injuries. Murphy was uninjured. Highway 21 was closed for almost 6 hours yesterday while debris was cleaned up and an investigation was done.
