In February 2022, Law Enforcement personnel were dispatched to a one crash near Sladich Road in Clack County.
Upon arrival, two individuals were present at the scene. Life saving measures were made to Donovan Cunningham, (06/07/1994), unsuccessfully. During that time, a $100 bill was found in Cunningham’s possession believed to contain drugs. An autopsy showed Cunningham died due to a drug related overdose.
During the investigation, it was discovered that the individual who supplied Cunningham the drugs was identified as Jacob D. Faude (09/15/1991).
The two had met earlier in the evening at a parking lot near the Village of Withee where Faude delivered drugs to Cunningham. The two traveled to a friends house, and prior to leaving, Faude stated “That’s really really good, be very very careful, there plenty more where that came from”
When Cunningham and a friend left the residence, they used the narcotic delivered by Faude. Shortly after departing the residence, Cunningham became unconscious, and later passed away. Early November 2022 Faude was taken into custody for his death.
Tuesday, December 19th, 2023, at Branch II of the Clark County Court House, Faude entered a plea to delivering a Scheduled Narcotic and 1st Degree Reckless Homicide Charge was read in. Faude was sentenced to 6 years initial confinement and 4 years extended supervision.
