Most of Wisconsin is bracing for the first winter storm of 2021. The precipitation is starting as a mix of rain and snow before it changes over to all snow later this afternoon (Thursday) and evening. Northern Wisconsin is expected to get the most accumulation. The National Weather Service says the Eau Claire area could see up to eight inches. Southern Wisconsin will likely see on and off snow showers into Friday. The Madison and Milwaukee areas are in line to receive two to six inches, Wausau four to eight inches of snow, and two to five in Green Bay.
