Flags will fly at half-staff across Wisconsin Saturday in honor of North Prairie fire fighter Gary E. Berg who lost his battle with COVID-19. Berg died October 19th after contracting the virus in the line of duty at age 54. Governor Tony Evers’ order says “Berg served the North Prairie Fire Department for 36 years and will be remembered as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and community member. The state of Wisconsin is forever grateful for his service, selflessness, and sacrifice.” His funeral and burial were postponed last Saturday and are rescheduled for tomorrow in Genesee and North Prairie.
