Floyd R. Vogt (Butch) passed away May 24th, 2022. He was born in Friendship, WI on January 27th, 1939. Floyd was 83 years old. He was born to Irene Winterfield (Vogt) and was raised in Black River Falls by Robert Winterfield. In 1958 to 1960 Butch served honorably in the Army, and was honorably discharged. In 1960 he met Virginia Zahn. They married in 1962.
Floyd worked at several jobs including Chrysler Corp. then worked at the Rock County Highway Dept. for 23 and a half years where he retired from.
Then in 2001 Butch and his wife moved to Black River Falls. Then went to work for Abby Vans transporting the elderly to doctor appointments.
Floyd liked watching the packers and westerns, fishing, plowing snow for Rock County, deer hunting, going to Kwik Trip, and listening to ‘Friend Save The World’.
Floyd is survived by his wife, Virginia; four sons, Mark (Cindy), Jack (Terri), Steven, and Terry (Kristin); ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; brother, Robert; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jack; sisters, Doris; and grandparents.
The family would like to thank Black River Memorial Hospice for all their support, and everyone at the V.A. hospital. Everyone did a great job to help Butch and Virginia. Thank you.
Funeral services for Floyd will be Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the Buswell Funeral Home at 1:00 pm. Mr. Loyd Sutherland, one of Butch’s cousins, will officiate with immediate burial following the service. Friends and family are invited to visitation from 11:00 am until the time of service.
