It has been five years since former Governor Scott Walker and former President Donald Trump welcomed the Foxconn project to southeastern Wisconsin. Three-billion dollars in funding and tax breaks were pledged to the Taiwanese tech giant that planned to make thin screen monitors. The tax breaks aren’t likely to happen now. Former Assembly Minority Leader Gordon Hintz says there’s still a lot of potential at the site, but the future is unclear. The infrastructure is in place to support a state-of-the-art factory but the 13-thousand jobs that were promised never appeared.
