The head of the state bureau of Weights and Measures says Wisconsinites can be confident that the gas they’re putting into their cars is fairly measured and top quality. Director Joe Smith says the latest data they have shows that pumps in Wisconsin are 99.7% accurate. Gas stations in Wisconsin get a visit from weights and measures about every year and a half. Smith says they along with checking for credit card skimmers, they look for problems in the fuel itself, like impurities or issues with the holding tanks.
