Golden Sands RC&D will host the 36th annual Waupaca County Conservation Field Day September 25th at Hartman Creek State Park. The event will bring together Waupaca County fifth-grade students for a hands-on day of learning about conservation and Wisconsin’s natural resources.
Students will rotate through educational stations covering topics including aquatic invasive species, composting, soils, wetlands and compass navigation. They’ll also hike the park’s forested trails and receive field journals to record their experiences.
The stations will be led by local conservation and natural resource professionals from several organizations, including the Wisconsin DNR, Waupaca County Land and Water Conservation Department, Pheasants Forever and other conservation groups.
