Governor Tony Evers will break with tradition and deliver a virtual State of the State address tonight (Tuesday) at 7:00 p-m. Wisconsin governors normally give the State of the State and the budget address in the Assembly chamber to the full Legislature, members of the Supreme Court, the governor’s cabinet members, and guests. Those tight quarters don’t allow for social distancing. Evers says he’s spent most of the past year encouraging people to stay home, practice social distancing, and limit gatherings with people outside their immediate households. He’s doing it this way because he feels “elected leaders must lead by example.”
