The Director of the Black River Area Chamber of Commerce is stepping down from her position. Amanda Gunn made the announcement in a letter to Chamber members yesterday. Gunn has worked at the Chamber for 12 years, and is stepping down for personal family reasons.
When asked to reflect on her time as Director of the Chamber, Gunn had this to say, “It’s just been great getting to know different people in the community, different businesses in the community, holding ribbon cuttings…that was always fun…Business After Five events, networking with people, that was always great too. I just really have enjoyed my time here at the Chamber office, and I’m very sad to leave. I definitely won’t be a stranger, and I might stick on in a part-time work from home basis.”
Gunn plans to work in the office through the rest of the month and possibly into June. The Board of Directors for the Chamber will make the decision on who will replace her.
