The 2026 Clark County HCE Cultural Arts Contest was held April 18th during the annual HCE Day event and luncheon at Posy Patch.
A total of 24 entries were judged, with 12 selected to advance to state competition in Eau Claire this September. Categories included quilting, painting, embroidery, sewing, and woodworking.
Local participants recognized include Lois Becker, Donna Eckes, Debbie Gries, Roberta Hansen, Mary Nauertz, Deb Ortner, and Joanne Trunkel.
Debbie Gries also received the People’s Choice Award for her large tote bag.
In addition, the group raised nearly 65 dollars for Pennies for Friendship.
