Health Officials in the Western Region of Wisconsin are urging residents to continue following precautions and COVID-19 recommendations. The Joint Western Region Local and Tribal Public Health put out the statement yesterday that was signed by 21 different Public Health Officers, all from the Western Region of the state. They say residents should still mask up, social distance, wash your hands often, avoid large gatherings, and get vaccinated. Each of the counties shared their vaccination percentages for residents 16 and older in the statement. Ashland County leads the Western side of the state in vaccination numbers with 37.7% fully vaccinated, while Clark County is at the bottom of the list with 18.1% vaccinated. Other area county percentages of fully vaccinated residents include Jackson County at 28.2%, Monroe County at 24.7%, and Trempealeau County at 34.3%.
