The Ho-Chunk Nation is one of many organizations receiving federal funding from the American Rescue Plan Act. President Biden signed the act into law in March, which allocated $1.9 trillion, which is intended to provide relief to states, counties, cities, and tribal governments that suffered increased expenditures, replenish lost revenue, and mitigate economic harm from the COVID-19 pandemic. The recipients of the funding were announced on Wednesday. The Ho-Chunk Nation reports that it received multi-million dollar funding from the government.
