An Independence man was arrested on Sunday after an armed robbery that took place at the Express Mart in Arcadia. 34-year-old Michael Andre of Independence was arrested by the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office for the incident. The Arcadia Police Department had responded to a panic alarm that was pulled at the Express Mart, and moments later a 911 call came in from inside the store. The caller described Andre, and explained that he had a gun pointed at the clerk and was demanding money from the register. $100 was given to Andre, and he fled the scene. A Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Deputy pulled over Andre’s car shortly after he fled the scene, and items used in the robbery were found inside the car.
