Jackson County Ethics Board Agenda for June 30, 2026

The  Jackson County Ethics Board will hold its first meeting at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, in the County Board Room at the Jackson County Courthouse.

The board’s initial order of business includes electing a chairperson and vice chairperson before convening in closed session to consider two ethics complaints.

According to the meeting agenda, the board will meet in closed session under Wisconsin’s open meetings law, Wis. Stat. § 19.85(1)(f), to conduct a preliminary review and investigation of two complaints filed under Jackson County Code § 1.05(4)(B). The closed session is permitted because discussion of the complaints in open session could have a substantial adverse effect on the reputations of the individuals involved.

The complaints include one submitted May 28, 2026, along with a supplemental complaint filed May 29, and a second complaint submitted June 8, 2026.

Following the closed session, board members are expected to reconvene in open session, where they may report on and take action consistent with Jackson County Code § 1.05(4)(C). The board may also schedule additional meetings or hearings if necessary.

Members of the Ethics Board are Steve Dickinsen, Don Forsting, Chris Plaisance, Shari Marg and Dale Ann Bohac.

The meeting is open to the public except for the closed-session portion authorized by state law.
