Jackson County Historical Society Announces 2026 Museum Season Openings

The Jackson County Historical Society is opening its museum sites for the 2026 season, offering residents and visitors a chance to explore local history.

The Carnegie Library Museum in Black River Falls will be open May 1st through September 26th, Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with additional tours available by appointment. Built in 1915, the historic site features exhibits on Ho-Chunk heritage, local industries, military history, and more.

The Spring Creek Schoolhouse Museum opens May 3rd through September 6th, welcoming visitors the first Sunday of each month from noon to 3 p.m. The 1885 schoolhouse offers a look at early rural education and life in Jackson County.

Both sites offer tours, group visits, and educational experiences for all ages.
