Jackson County is looking to improve broadband access across the entire county. The county has partnered with Bug Tussel Wireless and Tri-County Communications to submit grant applications to improve broadband access to residents and businesses.
The improvement of the broadband will be county-wide with Bug Tussel Wireless, and Tri-County Communications is working on a specific project with the School District of Alma Center-Humbird-Merrillan and the Town of Alma to improve their connection. The Jackson County Board of Supervisors is having a special meeting on Thursday to approve resolutions related to the broadband expansion. The County is looking for letters of support from county residents. Sample letter templates can be found online at co.jackson.wi.us, and can be e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Letters for the Town of Alma project can be e-mailed to email@example.com. Letters are requested to be submitted by Monday, July 19th.
