Jackson County will be resuming the weekly testing of Emergency Sirens starting May 10th. The sirens will be tested each Monday at noon, and will continue through the spring and summer months. Jackson County Emergency Management Coordinator Kristina Page says that these sirens are designed to notify the public in the event that there’s an emergency. Page also noted that Nixle is available to Jackson County Residents. Nixle sends emergency alerts straight to your cell phone. To register for Nixle, you can text your zip code to 888777.
