Janet M. Stetzer, 92, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Pine View Care Center, Black River Falls, Wisconsin where she was a resident for the past two years.
Janet was born April 12, 1928 to Melvin and Nora (Anderson) Nelson in Black River Falls. On March 6, 1948 Janet married Wayne Stetzer in Melrose.
Prior to becoming a full-time farm wife, Janet worked as a store clerk and also at what was then known as Camp McCoy. In their younger years Janet and Wayne enjoyed going to dances.
Survivors are two daughters, Roxanne (Frederic) Storandt and Kim (Larry) Thicke; a son, Scott; grandchildren, Stephanie (Steve) Johnson, Wendy (Rahn Molling) Storandt, Andrea (Russell) Hall, Jon (Ashley Craig) Storandt; step-granddaughter, Mary Thicke and great-grandchildren, Savanna, Sheradyn, Scott and Sheila Johnson, C.J. Molling and Bryce Sather, Oliver and Colton Hall, Emilyn and Camryn Storandt.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; four brothers and two sisters, one being her twin sister, Janis.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a private family service will be held at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Burr Oak, Wisconsin with Pastor John Werner officiating.
Burial will be at Little Norway Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Black River Falls, Wisconsin.
Zwickey Funeral Homes, Melrose Chapel assisted the family.
