Janice Josephine (Lang) Bise, 74, of Black River Falls, WI passed away on January 16, 2024 at
Gunderson Luthern Medical Center in La Crosse.
Jan was born on January 14, 1950 in Chicago, IL to Alice Boyle and Frank Trecek. Jan married
Thomas A. Lang in 1975. Together they had two sons, Brian and Eric Lang. Jan and Thomas moved
to Black River Falls and farmed until his death in 1999. She then married Richard Bise in 2002 and
the two lived in Sparta, WI until his death in 2017.
After working for the Black River Falls school district for 20 years, Jan retired in 2016 and enjoyed
every moment of retirement. She loved every moment she was able to spend with family, going to
concerts and on trips with her friends, swimming, horseback riding and camping.
Jan is survived by her sons, Brian (Diane) Lang of Waupun, Eric Lang (Lisa Burkhardt) of Chippewa
Falls, two grandchildren Melissa (Brock) Vossekuil, Anthony (Karissa) Lang, and her great grandson,
Wyatt, all of Waupun, and her sister, Karen (Jim) Walker, of Gainsville, GA.
Jan is preceded in death by her parents, Alice and Frank Trecek, grandparents Frank and Josephine
Trecek, and her husbands Thomas and Richard.
A memorial service for Jan will be held at noon on Saturday, March 2, at the Buswell Funeral Home of Black River Falls. Friends may call during visitation from 11am until the start of services.
