Jerry D. Hale, 77, of Sparta, died Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at his home. He was born February 6, 1943, to HH and Ruth (Barton) Hale, in Amarillo, TX.

Jerry grew up in Texas and served in the US Army from May 19, 1960, until his honorable discharge on August 31, 1980. He farmed and was an over the road trucker. Jerry moved to Wisconsin in 1979 and was the Ammunition Supervisor at Ft. McCoy until his retirement. He liked golfing in his earlier years; in his later years, he enjoyed riding his Harley visiting various veteran memorials throughout the US.

Jerry is survived by his two sons, Will (Cathie) Hale and Mitchell (Sarah) Hale; two grandchildren, Taylor and Wesley; his special friend and caretaker for 19 years, Sue Parshall; and a sister, Pat (Fred) Riojas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, HH and Ruth Hale; and two siblings, Pam and Jimmy.

A celebration of life will be held from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Jerry’s home, 5162 Hamlet Avenue, Sparta. Online condolences may be offered at
