Judy A. Olson, age 80 of Osseo, passed away on June 6, 2022 after a brief illness. Judy was born August 13, 1941, in Galesville, Wisconsin, to Oscar and Lilah Norgaard.
Judy married Forrest Olson on October 3, 1959. They later divorced. Judy held various jobs over the years and was a bank teller at the time of her retirement. Raising six children on the farm, her most important role was Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma!
As a collector of all things owl, she loved to play cards and games, enjoyed scrapbooking and attending as many events as possible to watch her grandkids and great grandkids pursue their interests. Her passion was spending time with family. She also loved to travel, attending concerts along the way. She made the best doughnuts and more recently enjoyed making lefse at the holidays with family! She would never turn down a burnt hotdog off the grill. Judy was an active member of the South Beef River Lutheran Church, crocheted prayer shawls and assisted the Knotty Ladies making quilts.
Judy will be deeply missed by her daughters: Teresa (Tony) Burks, Lynn (Aaron) Vold, Angie (Todd) Faldet and Cheryl (Bill) Skoug, daughter-in-law Patricia Olson; 15 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren plus two angel babies with another great-grandchild on the way; 1 great-great-grandchild on the way and one sister, Shirley Anderson. She was preceded in death by her sons, Jeff and Todd; her parents and her step-mother, May; two sisters, Gladys Vold and Loretta Anderson.
Services will be held Saturday, June 11, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at South Beef River Lutheran Church. Pastor Dave Christianson will officiate. Visitation will be held Friday, June 10, 2022, 4:00-7:00 and one hour prior to services at the church. Burial at South Beef River Cemetery will immediately follow.
The Schiefelbein Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements, 715-597-3711.
