Writing the majority opinion, state Supreme Court Justice Brian Hagedorn says you can’t accuse the Wisconsin Voters Alliance of timidity. The high court rejected the Alliance’s request that it stop the Wisconsin Elections Commission from certifying the result of the presidential election. It wanted the Republican-controlled Legislature to choose Wisconsin’s 10 electors. The court voted four-to-three Friday not to hear the petition. Hagedorn is considered to be a conservative justice. He says some of the legal issues might be subject to further consideration, but the suggested remedy is “the real stunner.”
