Kenneth (Ken) Howard Enger, age 74, of Pleasantville died Friday, May 13, 2022, at his home in Pleasantville. Ken was born on July 16, 1947, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He was the son of Howard and Grace (Rahl) Enger. Ken grew up in Northlake Illinois and graduated from West Lyden High School in Northlake, Illinois.
In the early 1990’s Ken moved to Pleasantville WI at his hobby farm while working as a Heavy Equipment Operator with Local 139 of Engineers at John Kraemer & Sons Inc. He was an active volunteer at the Hale Fire Department and member of the Lions Club in Pleasantville for many years.
Ken owned a 1956 LaFrance convertible fire truck with which he participated in many parades in the surrounding communities. He was a classic car enthusiast with a few classics of his own. In his later years, he enjoyed riding around the farm on his Gator.
He is survived by his daughter, Lori (Glenn/Hopper) Zwiefelhofer and son, Edward (Christine) Enger; grandchildren, Kaeli and Kari Zwiefelhofer, Jacob Enger and Morgan Zerbian; sisters, Karen (Frank) Dalessandro and Kathy (Jon) Strang; brother, Krist Enger; and special friend, Jean Thomley.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Carolyn in 2016.
A Funeral Service for Ken will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday May 19, 2022 at the Schiefelbien Funeral Home in Osseo, WI. Pastor Peter Jonas from Grace Lutheran Church of Pleasantville will officiate. Burial will immediately follow the services at West Beef River Lutheran Cemetery in rural Strum, WI. Friends may call on the family during a visitation from 10:00 am to 12:00pm before the service at the funeral home on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials may be directed to the family.
