Leonard Robert Hopinka, age 34, passed away January 22, 2022. He was born in Wausau WI on November 18, 1987 to Jeremy Rockman and Deborah (Paul Smith) Hopinka.
Leonard spent most of his life in the Black River Falls area. After graduating from Black River Falls High School, he went on to Western Technical College. He then to work for the Ho-Chunk Nation and the American Pavement Solutions from December 31, 2019 until the present.
Leonard had a big personality and was adored by all who knew him. He loved traveling, sightseeing, table tennis, basketball, watching movies, listening to music, darts, boardgames, and disc golfing.
Surviving Leonard are his parents; his two daughters He-les-wv cexi-wi and No-ko-selvs-te Hopinka-Whitecloud; his siblings, Keith (Micaela) Hopinka, Heather Hopinka, Kyle Hopinka and many nieces and nephews; his Tegas Dennis (Cindy) Hopinka Sr. Dean Hopinka and Aunt Diane Hopinka.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Chaucey Hopinka and Maxine Johnson; and by his aunts Deanna Hopinka and Denise Hart.
Native American Services will be held at 12:00 PM, Tuesday January 25, 2022 at the District 1 Community Center with Matthew Mann officiating. Burial will follow the services at the Decorah Cemetery. Friends and family are invited for visitation at the District 1 Community Center, Tuesday January 25 from 10 AM until Noon.
