Lloyd Eugene German, age 96 of Black River Falls, Wisconsin passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Pine View Care Center. He was born September 09, 1925 in Black River Falls, the son of Arvilda (Simplot) and Walter German.
Lloyd was raised and went to school in Black River Falls. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1943 and was honorably discharged in 1946 during WWII. He also served in the Wisconsin National Guard, 132nd Tank Battalion. Lloyd was employed by the WI National Guard as a mechanic and was a member of the American Legion Miles-Hagen Post #200, in Black River Falls.
He is survived by his children, Sharon (Dan Zillmer) Ferries of Black River Falls, Wisconsin, Nancy Laabs of Crown Point, Indiana, Jeffery (Susan) German of Hixton, Wisconsin, one sister Arby Nandory of Taylor, Wisconsin, grandchildren, Eric (Theresa) Skogstad, Emily (Amy) Ferries, Michelle (Brad) Bires, Kimberly German, Marc (Amy) Laabs, Jay (Katherine) Laabs, Christopher German, great-grandchildren, Kastan, Matt, Sven, Torin, Caleb, Maysn, McKenzie, Sawyer, Brandon, Ashlee, Elizabeth, Andrew, Beckett, William, Tatum, and two great great grandchildren, Khloe. He is preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Craig German and son-in-law Gerald Laabs.
At Lloyd’s request, a memorial service will be held at a later date with military honors accorded.
The Torgerson’s Funeral Home in Black River Falls has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
