Lucille “Lucy” W. Pientok, formerly of Arcadia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 11, 2021, at Ave Maria Place, Callista Court, in Winona, MN.
Lucy was born in the Township of Glencoe, Buffalo County, on May 20, 1937, to Vernon and Florence (Mueller) Buchholz. Being one of ten children, Lucy grew up knowing the value of family and hard work. She loved to sew, crotchet, decorate cakes, garden, cook and can fruits and vegetables. She was united in marriage to Leonard Pientok on February 27, 1954, at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Independence. Together the couple farmed side by side in American Valley- growing corn, zinnia flowers, and three children. Leonard and Lucy enjoyed going for rides in the fields and woods around their farm and taking the pickup to different places around the area. Lucy loved being on the farm, and truly embraced the farming way of life. Her favorite birthdays were spent in the corn planter, and she loved hosting her family for holidays and other visits. She was a former member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and Holy Family Parish, where she was a member of the PCCW and helped with the Fall Festival.
