Mardel H. Reynolds

Mardel H. Reynolds, 92, died on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at the Tomah Nursing and Rehab Center in Tomah, Wisconsin.

She was born on April 12, 1932, to William and Hattie (Hillman) Johnson in Chicago, Illinois. Mardel attended grade school and high school in Illinois before moving to Indiana in 1947. She attended school there before moving to Wisconsin and graduating high school in 1950. After high school, she moved back to Chicago and lived with her aunt. She started working at Kellog Switch Board (ATT) in 1951.

Mardel met Keith Reynolds and they married on May 19, 1962. In March of 1967, after a big storm in Chicago, Keith and Mardel moved to Tomah, Wisconsin. She worked at Kinder, Fort McCoy and in the VA Civilian Canteen.

Mardel is survived by her daughter, Dawn (Leo) Hott; grandchildren, Jason Felber, Koty Felber and Ember Hott; great grandchildren; brother, Dennis (DJ) Johnson and Robin Becker and her family. She is further survived by other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith in 2014; her parents; and 3 sisters, Corrine, Beverly and Arlene and special friend, Lillian Jorgenson.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025, 12 PM Noon, at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St. Tomah. Neil Nelson will officiate. Relatives and friends are invited for a time of visitation on Monday at 11:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Tomah.
