Marian Louise Davis, 88, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2021 in the company of her family at the home of her daughter in Waukesha, WI after a short battle with thyroid cancer.
Marian was born October 11, 1932 in Temperance, MI to Wilton and Florence (Reiff) Elgin. She married Edward Davis II on June 22, 1950 in Angola, IN. As a military wife, Marian made their home at various military stations across the country. She was a homemaker her entire life, raising four wonderful children.
After Edward retired from the US Navy in 1969, they moved from his last duty station in Pearl Harbor, HI to rural Taylor, WI. In 1976, they moved to rural Strum, WI, where they lived until Edward’s untimely passing in 1983. Marion then relocated to Black River Falls, WI, which she called home until 2017 when she moved to Waukesha, WI to be closer to her daughter.
Marian is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Ray) Simonson of Waukesha, WI; three sons, Edward (Patricia) Davis of rural Melrose, WI, Daniel Davis of Champlin, MN, and Phillip Davis of Dayton, OH; seven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Torgerson’s Funeral Home in Black River Falls. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the Funeral Home.
