Despite some opposition, the Marshfield City Council has decided that signs at City Hall saying “No firearms allowed” should be removed. The change means concealed carry weapons and other lawful weapons will be legal inside the building. The change fell short of the votes needed two times previously. Council members who voted against the change say bringing guns into the building can cause more harm than help. Three years ago 55-percent of the city employees said they preferred to continue prohibiting weapons inside the building.
