Mary C. Lent, 82, Black River Falls died Tuesday, December 1st at home following a long illness.
Mary was born in 1938 in Baraboo, WI to Robert and Ruth McArthur. She was a graduate of UW Madison and a former
Vilas County Extension Home and 4-H agent in Eagle River. There she met her husband Nelson of 57 years. They were married in May of 1963 and moved to Black River Falls in June of that year. She worked as a seamstress, was a licensed real estate agent and served as director of the Black River Falls Public Library for 22 years.
Survivors include her husband Nelson; daughter, Heidi of Eau Claire; son, Eric of Black River Falls; and her beloved dog, Rae. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Elizabeth Hewitt of Madison, a brother Robert McArthur of Cross Plains, and her adopted rescue dogs Sofie, Gusanne, Moe and Tweetus.

As per her wishes, no service will be held at this time due to the pandemic.
