Michelle Marie Hove (Schleicher)

Michelle Marie Hove (Schleicher), age 56, of Tomah, WI, passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of April 17, 2025, at home with her husband by her side.

Michelle was a radiant soul — full of love, compassion, and creativity. She had a heart that welcomed everyone and a spirit that uplifted those around her. A lifelong caretaker, she made it her mission to help others, especially in their hardest moments. Her kindness and warmth were constants in the lives of so many.

Michelle found joy in the little things: the scent of lilacs, the sound of birds outside her window, and the beauty of calla and stargazer lilies. She cherished her garden and the ducks, orioles, cranes, and geese that visited her yard — often with their babies in tow.

A lover of sunshine and adventure, Michelle traveled often to Florida and the Dominican Republic over the years, always chasing warmth and the ocean breeze. She was most at home on a beach or at a campground surrounded by friends, laughter, and the crackle of a campfire. Summer was her favorite season, and she soaked up every minute of it.

Michelle had an undeniable creative spark. Whether she was crafting, painting, or creating in the kitchen, she put her heart into everything she touched. She loved baking and cooking — always finding joy in trying new dessert recipes and sharing them with others. Her adaptability and determination meant that every job she pursued, she earned — and in every role, she gave her all.

More than anything, Michelle loved her family. She was immensely proud of her children and grandchildren — their accomplishments were hers too. She was their rock: always steady, always strong. Her love knew no limits.

Michelle shared a deep, unwavering bond with her husband, Todd — the love of her life and her best friend through all of life’s seasons. Their love was built on an unshakeable sense of loyalty. Through every high and low, they stood side by side. Their life together was full of adventure, partnership, and love.

Michelle is survived by her husband, Todd Hove; her children, TJ and Stephanie Hove, and MaKyla and Dustin Burkwalt; her beloved grandchildren, Charlotte Hove, Delaney Hove, Gracynn Burkwalt, Dax Burkwalt; her sisters, Sherry Georgeson and Debbie Frei; brothers-in-law, Kenny Georgeson and Dan Frei; her father-in-law, Larry Hove; many cherished nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis Schleicher; her father, George Schleicher Jr.; her mother-in-law, Marie Hove, and nephew Joshua John Georgeson.

Her legacy is one of love, strength, and boundless generosity. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
