A car crash, the death of its matriarch, and the pandemic all led to the village of Trempealeau’s museum shutting down for close to a year-and-a-half. But the village museum is set to reopen Memorial Day weekend. W-X-O-W/T-V reports the attraction has been closed since December of 2020, when a car crashed into it and caused widespread damage. That same month, the museum’s matriarch, 91-year-old Virginia Cisewski, passed away. It’s been restored and is located in the Trempealeau Community Center and tells the story of the village located on the shore of the Mississippi River.
