If you’re seeing more military equipment travelling around on roadways over the next few days, it’s the National Guard doing an exercise. Patriot 21, a yearly exercise, is designed to train the National Guard and state and county emergency management agencies in the event that a natural disaster were to happen. Training started today at both the Volk Field Combat Readiness Training Center in Camp Douglas, and at Fort McCoy in Tomah. The training will continue through Thursday of this week.
