(Madison, WI) — There’s a new case of CWD in northern Wisconsin. The state’s Department of Natural Resources yesterday confirmed a case in wild deer in Langlade County. Specifically, the DNR says the deer was found within ten miles of the Menominee Reservation, Menominee County and Oconto County borders. The discovering means a change for deer hunters, there is now a three-year ban on baiting and feeding in Langlade County. This is the first time CWD has been found in Langlade County.
