Jackson County prosecutors filed seven felony charges against a 50-year-old man accused of firing several shots on New Year’s Day. Roy Thompson was arrested in Black River Falls just before 2:00 a-m. Police say they received multiple reports about Thompson running around a neighborhood carrying a handgun and firing shots. No one was injured. Thompson was taken into custody after a brief attempt to run away. The charges he faces include five counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety. He is scheduled to make a court appearance Monday morning.
