The DNR has released the harvest totals for the nine-day deer season that ended on Sunday. The DNR reports that it sold 569,203 gun licenses for the season, and hunters registered 188,712 deer. Of those, 85,340 were antlered and the other 103,372 were anterless. The DNR also reports that since bow season opened in September, hunters have registered 305,171 deer statewide. There are still opportunities for those numbers to grow yet this hunting season, as muzzleloader hunting began yesterday (11/30) and runs through December 9th, and plenty of other hunting opportunities through the end of January.
