A house in Monroe County is considered to be a total loss after a fire early Thursday morning. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department reports that a 911 call came in around 2:00 yesterday morning about a residential fire on Mascot Ave in the Township of Jefferson. Once on scene it was observed that flames were rising through the roof. The occupants were all able to get out safely, and there were no reported injuries. Seven area emergency agencies assisted on the scene, and were on the scene until 6:00. The cause of the fire is still undetermined.
