Oshkosh Defense has been chosen to build at least 50-thousand next-generation mail delivery vehicles for the U-S Postal Service. The contract announced Tuesday is part of an effort to make the post office more environmentally friendly by switching a lot of its fleet to electric power. The contract could be extended to 165-thousand vehicles under the initial 482-million-dollar agreement.
