Paul E. Galster passed away Saturday, July 23 in his home in Alma Center, WI after a battle with ALS. Paul was born on Sept. 28, 1957 to Everett and Evelyn (Keach) Galster in Neillsville, WI. He was the youngest of seven children.

Paul lived all his life on the family farm in Alma Center, WI. He graduated from Alma Center Lincoln High School in 1975 and went briefly to college at UW River Falls and UW of Superior before coming home to take over the family farm. On August 16,1980, he married Donna (Bandell) and they farmed up until 1986 when he decided that dairy farming wasn’t for him. He sold the cows and kept the farm and did crop farming for a bit and then rented the land out. He then worked for Ashley Furniture for a year before going into truck driving. After attending truck driving school in Sun Prairie, WI, he worked for DeBoer Inc. in Blenker, WI for 10 years before going over to Korth Transfer in Reedsburg, WI where he worked over 20 years up hauling milk and whey products until his affliction.

Paul enjoyed working outdoors, traveling, motorcycle riding, camping, going to motorcycle and rock events with his wife, ham radio, and was self-taught on how to fix computers. He also loved to read and to spend time with his kids and grandchildren. He was a member of FFA, 4-H, & ABATE OF WISCONSIN.

Paul is survived by his wife, Donna (Bandell) Galster. Two sons Jonathan (Kamie) and Adrian (Shelby) Galster and two daughters, Christina (Christian) Bucheger and Richelle (Adam) Flood. Sisters Sharon (Gene) O’Rourke, Marguerite (Wayne) Sweno, and Elaine Galster. Grandchildren Sarita & Axel Flood, Emma Bucheger, Nolan Galster, and Everett Galster.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett & Evelyn. A brother, Robert and his sisters, Shirley Blencoe and Susan Bandell. Also, a cousin whom he loved like a brother, LaVerne Galster.

Funeral services for Paul will be Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church, 200 West Main Street, Alma Center, Wisconsin. Pastor David Shudy will officiate with burial immediately following service at East Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call on the family during a visitation from 10:00-12:00 noon at the church.
