Nicole Schwietzer from Black River Memorial Hospital has been appointed by Governor Tony Evers to serve on the Rural Health Development Council. The Rural Health Development Council makes recommendations to the Department of Commerce on ways to improve the delivery of healthcare in rural communities. Schweitzer is a licensed occupational therapist and currently serves as the Director of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at BRMH.
“I am very humbled to represent rural hospitals throughout the state of Wisconsin. I look forward to being the voice of our collective communities to celebrate what hospitals our size offer and also to contribute to solutions for the challenges we face,” Schweitzer stated.
Her term on the council will last until July 1, 2025.
