Seasonal weight restrictions go into effect on Midnight on Friday in Jackson County. The weight restrictions go into place on all Jackson County Trunk Highways except for CTH P from the Northernmost part of the Village of Taylor to Badger Mining. The restrictions are 8 ton for two axle vehicles, 13 ton for three or more axle vehicles. Combination vehicles such as 5th wheel tractor and trailers have a restriction of 18 ton. The seasonal weight restrictions are put into place to protect the county highways while the ground under them is weak while coming out of the winter months. The Jackson County Highway Department says that these seasonal weight restrictions usually last until the middle of April.
