The Wisconsin Public Service Commission has announced a second round of broadband expansion grants. The P-S-C gave $28.4 million to 58 projects for expanding high-speed broadband internet access in the state. The Broadband Expansion Grant Program funding was initially approved in the 2019-21 state budget. Rural business groups labeled rural broadband as a key challenge. Governor Tony Evers declared 2021 the year of broadband access in his State of the State address in January.
