Tornado drill info: Wisconsin | Minnesota
Tornado drills for both states will occur at 1:45pm and 6:45pm on Thursday, April 20. If severe weather would be an actual possibility that day, the drills would be postponed to Friday, April 21. NWS La Crosse will initiate the drills through the following means:
- NOAA Weather Radio — drill will be sent as Required Weekly Test (RWT) with normal alert tones followed by drill verbiage (note: that weather permitting, we also plan to issue our regularly scheduled RWT on Wednesday)
- Social Media
- NWS La Crosse Spotter Activation Notification System drill/test (only at 1:45pm)
*Note there will be no test Tornado Warning sent from the NWS.
